With all of the fanfare and hype encircle the upcoming launching of Samsung’s new flagship smartphone. Samsung’s top of the line smartwatches – the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic are gently receiving an improvement. This upgrade would bring new characteristics and improvements to both Classic and Gear S3 Frontier.
According to Sam Mobile, this latest firmware upgrade for the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic brings enhancement to native applications including Watch Faces, Alti-Barometer, Samsung Health, S Voice, and News Briefing. Other attributes receiving an improvement include the Settings, Find My Device, Accessibility, iOS Support, Samsung Gear, Stop Watch, New Partner programs and Samsung Internet for Gear.
This latest firmware upgrade for both the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic would allow users to add music complications and a fresh date design to Watch Faces that are selected. The Alti-Barometer was upgraded by adding an elevation vehicle refresh feature. In addition, the maximum time for the Stop Watch feature was increased to 3 hours ( Its still odd why its only 3 hours). In the Settings section, a TTS option was added to the input signal menu with additional languages available for downloading.
The Find my Device Feature for the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic now would allow users to set their watches to display contact information if their device gets lost. The iOS Support has also been updated to fix some problems impacting music transfer, link stability, and the S Voice recognition rate. An auto switch feature has also been added to permit Gear S3, S2, and Fit2 to auto connect with paired smartphone.
The Samsung Internet for Gear feature in the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic has also been updated to permit users to browse the Internet using the device. Also, new partner programs from businesses such as Spotify and BMW are made available for download in Galaxy Apps Store.
This latest firmware upgrade would bring improvements and new features to the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic. That said, users of these wearable devices shouldn’t be surprised if this latest upgrade has something related to the forthcoming arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, and also the coming Note 8 Series.After all, it makes sense to have the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic compatible with other Android Devices, especially the newer Samsung flagships coming out the pipeline.
